Austin Langlinais Position: President Year: Junior Major: Supply Chain Management and Finance Minor: Economics Hometown: Mattawan, MI (a.k.a. "The Twan") High school: New Buffalo High School
About: Hey guys! My name is Austin Langlinais and I'll be your president for the 2019-2020 school year. One of the best tweets I've ever seen asked the question, "Who is the slowest person you know whose entire life revolves around running?". For those who know me, I'm generally how they would answer the question. However I'm slowly becoming mediocre with the help of the club, so we'll get there someday! I love pretty much every running event(from the 400, to the "Beverage" mile, to the HM) however my favorites are definitely the 8k in XC, and the 3k Steeple(in which I hold the Club Record!) in track. In this next year I want to make sure that every person has just as good of an experience as I've had with the club these past two years! From hard track workouts to hungover long runs, and everything in between, the club is an amazing place to meet awesome people, have fun, and maybe(just maybe) get a little better at running! Oh, and in case you were wondering: The #LegsAreFeelinGood !
Ryan Grotenrath Position: Vice President of Operations Year:Senior Major: Chemical Engineering Hometown: Coopersville, MI High School: Coopersville High School
About: Hello there, my name is Ryan Grotenrath and I will the club's Vice President of Operations for the 2019-20 year! I was a soccer boi throughout high school and decided to try track my senior year. I enjoyed that so much I checked out MSU RC my freshman year of college and I love running now. My favorite events are the 1600m and recently the 5k. This club has such a great community and is where I've met some of my closest friends from MSU.
Outside of the club I enjoy MSU basketball, 3D Printing, soccer, and Lil Boat. Feel free to call me Yacthy, some animal gave me that nickname awhile back. Looking forward to another great year of running club!
Natalie DiPerno Position:Vice President of Administrations Year: Senior Major: Accounting Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI High school: Mattawan High School
About: Hi everyone! I’m Natalie DePerno and I will be serving as the Vice President of Administration for the 2019-2020 school year! I am responsible for responding to emails/questions, sending out weekly updates to club members, and registering athletes for races. I have been a member of MSU Running Club since the very beginning of my freshman year and have loved every minute of it. I love racing distance events (like the 3k, 5k and 6k) and I have run several half marathons. Some other fun facts about me: I love dogs, traveling, and puzzles. I’m really looking forward to another great year filled with laughs and PRs!
Matt Wholihan Position: Treasurer Year: Senior Major: Biosystems Engineering Hometown: Grosse Pointe, MI High School: Grosse Pointe South
About: Hey everyone! My name is Matt and I am the treasurer of the MSURC for the 2019-20 school year. I have been on the running club since my freshman year and it has been an amazing experience. Being on the club has allowed me to continue my running career and make some lifelong friends along the way. I enjoy both track and XC (I don't think I can pick a favorite), but I also love the social events that go along with being a part of the running club. I am looking forward to a great year!
About:Whats up gang, my name is Tyler Cook and I'm the apparel coordinator this year! I joined the club pretty much immediately my freshman year and even though I was 100% there just for the social aspect in the following years the competitive bug got to me and now I'm all bout that high mileage life! My favorite event is by far the 5k, but the 8k is also pretty cool. The last couple years with the club have been incredible from the people I've met to acquiring the miles that I've run and hopefully this year will be just as great! And as always, Club or Die!
Taylor Benoit Position: Social Coordinator Year: Junior Major:Hospitality Business Hometown:Rockford, MI
About: Hello everyone! My name is Taylor Benoit and I am excited to be the MSURC social coordinator for the school year! I have been running since my freshman year of high school and have grown to love the sport. I joined the club last year to start running again and make friends. The running club helped me create many memories and helped me find out I have missed racing both track and cross country. Both seasons offer different running atmospheres that I hope everyone comes out and experiences. I cannot wait for this upcoming year to meet everyone! See you there!
Liz Sculli Position: Travel Coordinatior Year: Senior Major: Math (Secondary Education) Hometown: Dexter, MI High School: Dexter High School
About: Hi guys! I am so excited to be your travel coordinator again this year. The running club is the best club at MSU and you will not regret joining. I joined my freshman year and made all of my closest friends through running as well as participating in the many social events we have. I have not been a runner my entire life or even throughout high school. I ran cross country my sophomore year and never did again. However, when coming to MSU I was looking for a fun way to ward off the freshman 15 as well as make as many friends as I could. As it turns out, the MSU running club was the best way to do both. I enjoy running 6k’s for cross country the most, but in track I also run the mile and 800. I am so excited to meet all of you, and can't wait for another great year!
Keegan Sullivan Position: Fundraising Coordinator Year: Sophomore Major: Comparative Cultures and Politics Minor: Spanish Hometown: Grand Rapids
About:My name is Keegan, this is my second year with Running Club, and I have the opportunity to be the fundraising coordinator this year. The MSU Running community is like the protagonist squad from an early 2000’s film about the intricacies of competitive cheer. Peppy, energetic, and full of characters. What I love most about this club is that it gives people a place to meet fellow runners, workout, run competitive races, and be part of a great team. I have never been fast. I once almost horse-collar tackled a rival runner for clipping me on a tight turn. And I would go crazy without running. Club gave me a safe place to improve myself as a runner and get to know some incredible people. The races are good, the friendships are better, and the chaotic energy is powerful. I love Club for being the unabashed haven of runners it is.
Jack Luxem Position: Webmaster Year: Senior Major: Kinesiology Hometown: LaGrange, IL High school: Lyons Township High School

I help write the workouts for the sprinters each spring and even design weight room workouts as well. If you are interested in sprinting, jumping, and lifting please reach out to me as I would love to talk about it. Let's make this a great year to be a member of the MSU Running Club!
