Riley VanPelt Position: President Year: Senior Major: Advertising Management Minor: Sales Leadership Hometown: New Buffalo, MI High school: New Buffalo High School
About: Hey guys, my name is Riley VanPelt (also known as RVP or Rilez 4 Milez) and I will be your President for the 2018-2019 academic year. Here’s my origin story… before middle school, I was pretty horrible at every single sport that I tried, due to my gangly and extremely uncoordinated body. In 6th grade I went out for cross country, and I have been competitively running ever since. My favorite race is the mile/1500m, and I currently have the indoor club mile record and indoor 2K record (until Paolo shreds those records to fairy dust later this year, RIP in peace). I also dabble a little bit in marathon running and failed attempts to win local 5Ks.
Some fun facts about myself include…
- I’m also involved with the Global Sales Leadership Society - I like to make documentaries about the club/stupid things I do with friends - I’m a chocolate milk enthusiast, but terrible at the chocolate milk mile - I’m an endorsed Brook’s athlete (Ok not really, but they sent me a certificate and a dollar check lol) - My record for living in IHOP is 29 hours with Tommy Brettschneider. - I can quote the entire fight scene between Anakin and Obi Wan from Revenge of the Sith - I once lived with Sean Virden.
Follow my fan page @TheRVPWatch (I promise that I don’t run it, that’d be weird). I can’t wait to meet all of you new members on the club this year! If you guys ever have any questions, feel free to message me on Facebook. Club or die!

About: What's up my dudes? My name is Austin Langlinais, and I'll be your travel coordinator for this upcoming school year. Liz Sculli Position: Travel Coordinatior Year: Junior Major: Math (Secondary Education) Hometown: Dexter, MI High School: Dexter High School
About: Hello everyone! I am so excited to be your newly elected travel coordinator. The running club is the best club at MSU and you will not regret joining. I joined my freshman year and made all of my closest friends through running as well as participating in the many social events we have. I have not been a runner my entire life or even throughout high school. I ran cross country my sophomore year and never did again. However, when coming to MSU I was looking for a fun way to ward off the freshman 15 as well as make as many friends as I could. As it turns out, the MSU running club was the best way to do both. I enjoy running 6k’s for cross country the most, but in track I run the mile/1500. However, this year I’m also planning to run the 3k or 5k, so I’m excited to see what happens. I can’t wait to see you all out there!
